| Trident HistoryTrident Investigations was incorporated in early 2006 after the Directors formed the company after a combined 30+ years in investigation. Their experience was brought from the Military, Police and Commercial Fraud Investigation. Today we are a modern company who thrive on the challenge that change brings. We pride our selves on our first class service to our clients. Most people imagine that a Private Detective is an ex-cop who wears a long coat and spend his days tip toeing in and out of the shadows chasing errant husbands, wives or partners. In short a dodgy character who trod a very fine line and often broke the rules in order to achieve a quick result. This image was largely assisted in part by the black and white days of Hollywood cinema in the 1950's. In some cases this stereotype wasn't a million miles away from reality. In the 1970's the image was revamped but a flash car and Hawaiian shirt did little to shake the stereotypical image of PI work. Today's modern Investigators are accredited professionals and are often called in to assist everyone from Local Authorities, Foreign Governments, the Police Service, Major Banks and Insurance companies, Large Corporations and Small Businesses as well as Private clients. The main areas of employment for today’s Detective Agencies are Surveillance, Tracing of Debtors, Process Serving and General Investigation in to all kinds of personal and industrial matters. Contrary to popular belief our caseload is more about finance than infidelity; however a recent survey by top accountants Grant Thornton found that 49% of all divorce cases now involve the services of private detectives at some stage in the proceedings. But this was more to do finding secret assets rather than digging up long lost skeletons from the proverbial closet. Ongoing developments in both technology and legal guidelines are making the job of a Private Investigator both challenging and rewarding. We are currently waiting for the Security Industry Association to introduce licensing to the Investigation sector. We at Trident Investigations Limited welcome the challenge that licensing will bring. |
